Marijuana addiction may not be as severe as other substance use disorders, but it can still disrupt daily life in significant ways. Marijuana addiction treatment at The Edge can help.

Marijuana addiction isn’t quite as addictive, detrimental, or fatal as other substances like meth or cocaine, but we understand that dependence can still disrupt life in significant ways. The loss of focus can lead to lower performance at work or in school, and your relationships could suffer at the hands of behavior changes, mood swings, or withdrawal from activities you once enjoyed. But these effects don’t have to last, and recovery is within reach. It all starts with seeking help.

Personalized Support for Marijuana Dependence

If marijuana has gone from a recreational substance to one that you depend on, we can help you break free. At The Edge, we have a team of treatment and mental health experts ready to assist you, a range of therapies to guide you, and a tight-knit community to support you. Your treatment will always be guided by personalized plans tailored specifically to you, and you’ll be supported by your case manager at every twist and turn.

This is our mission: to guide you toward recovery at your own pace, and help you rebuild a life that isn’t dependent on marijuana to function.

Is Marijuana Really Addictive?

Yes, marijuana can be addictive for some people. While not everyone who uses marijuana will develop an addiction, it’s possible to become dependent on it. This means that some people might find it hard to stop using marijuana even if it starts to negatively impact their lives. If you or someone you care about is struggling with marijuana use, know that help is available, and seeking support is a positive first step towards recovery. Treatment options, including counseling and support groups, can make a significant difference in overcoming addiction and improving overall well-being.

How Is Marijuana Addiction Treated?

Marijuana addiction is typically treated through a combination of approaches, which are tailored to your needs. Counseling and therapy, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), can help address the underlying reasons for marijuana use and develop healthier coping strategies. Support groups provide a sense of community and shared experiences, which can be incredibly valuable during recovery. In some cases, medication might be prescribed to manage withdrawal symptoms, and detox may be necessary to manage withdrawal symptoms under close supervision.

How We Can Help

Medical Detox

If you require detox services for cannabis use disorder, we can help. Our center maintains connections with a number of detox centers across the state, and can refer you to a local facility as needed. During our initial call and assessment, we’ll determine whether detox is necessary, include it in your treatment plan, and link you with a center close to you to start the process.

Outpatient Treatment

This is our core service at The Edge. With our outpatient program, you’ll have the flexibility to live at home, work, and go to school as usual while attending your required sessions throughout the week. You’ll go to group sessions, meet peers, and work through your addiction at our facility in Santa Ana, CA, which is stocked with coffee, snacks, a relaxing common area, and more to keep you comfortable from day to day. Our center is designed to be your second home, and a place where you can let your guard down and work on yourself alongside others who know your struggle.

Dual Diagnosis

Addiction and mental health share a close link, and it’s important to adapt treatment accordingly. Dual diagnosis treatment is meant for those who suffer from more than one condition at once, most often a mental health disorder and a substance use disorder. By treating both conditions simultaneously, you can manage symptoms of withdrawal while making strides in your mental well-being. If you believe you’re suffering from a dual diagnosis, call us to see how we can help.

Aftercare and Alumni Support

Our alumni support community is one of few in the country, and acts as a long-term aftercare program to ensure you maintain your sobriety. Recovery is a lifelong journey after all, and continuing care allows you to stay connected to the people who not only understand your struggle, but can coach you through the ups and downs. As an alumni at The Edge, you’ll always remain a part of this community, even when you graduate and move onto bigger and better things.

What Our Clients Are Saying

Aaliyaha’s Story

“I went to this treatment center for 8 months, and I’ve never had a better experience! The staff was entirely amazing, the community was tight with each other, and it felt really comfortable. My case manager Kam literally changed my life, and put his all into our individual and group sessions. He did more than what is required of his job to really make a difference in his clients’ lives. I left there a completely different person. 20/10 would recommend!”

Kamryn’s Story

“The Edge Treatment Center is the best decision I’ve made in a long time. I was there for 6 months, and in that time, they became my family. The staff is there for anything and everything you could possibly need. They truly make treatment fun and enjoyable between the gender dinners, LGBTQ dinners, parties for different holidays, talent shows, birthdays and sobriety birthday celebrations, cornhole tournaments, Friday dinners and desserts, and more. The list goes on. Thank you, The Edge, for changing my life in all of the best ways possible.”
